It’s far easier than sending people, and robots can keep working where there is no air. People also get damaged by cosmic radiation – it’s only the particular properties of the Earth’s atmosphere that stop it getting down to us.

NASA didn’t “invent” rovers. In fact NASA doesn’t invent much except rockets. The actual development of projects like the Mars rovers is done by university professors like Steve Squyres, the prinicipal investigator for the Mars rovers. Steve works for Cornell University’s astronomy department, not for NASA.

Right now it is easier in many ways to send out robots to explore the cosmos before we can send out man.

well reason one is that we are getting a lot more information from them and they can go in a lot more extreme environments/different planets such as, it will take a while for NASA to get a man on mars but we already have rovers made by collage professors on mars exploring and sending media back to earth so basically it is quicker and easier
