Everyone knows of the golden record on Voyager and the plaque on Pioneer that give Aliens some idea of humans is the craft ever become confiscated. Does anyone know if the mission to Pluto “New Horizons” has the same stuff?

I am thinking that NASA and United States of America on the outside of it are probably good enough.

No there isn’t a gold- plated record aboard the craft, but there IS a CD containing over 430,000 names of people belonging to the ‘Space Society’ on board.
Just in case whomever might find the probe in the future has our laser read technology!
Peace,

No it does not contain a plaque. There is however a compact disc onboard which contains 435,000 names of persons (this type of PR has been employed before by NASA). Also confirmed to be onboard are ashes from Pluto discoverer Clyde Tombaugh as well as other mementos such as a piece of carbon fiber from the now retired private SpaceShipOne.
New Horizon was developed with a 15+year power supply. Although the probe will one day exit the Solar System, mission objectives do not include study past the Kupier belt objects.
