To explore space of course.

We did it with the idea of having a reusable space platform. We could reuse the large booster rockets and the space shuttle itself. It was like all we had to do was pay for the fuel.
It didn’t quite work that way. With the flaws and mistakes we have made in the program it has been one of the most expensive items in the space program. Part of the cost has to be attributed to inflation.
We are now faced with finding a viable replacement for the shuttle. Do we go back to rockets like the Saturn 5. Do we develop a brand new undiscovered system, unknown cost with no promise of success. What should we do for the future?

Put your brain to work. If you have the answer you could be a very rich person.

So we could shuttle up to outer space. It is mainly for exploration.

By curosity we wanted to know if there really exists an aether in space and what are the properties of matter in space.
So man is curious about his origin and the the solar system. If aether is real how do we extract energy out of it?The next project will be a space ship to go to mars.

A low cost reusable way to get into space. I don’t really think that they met that goal because it is a huge costly gas guzzler.

The Space Shuttle is a vehicle for space exploration. It is reusable, which means that we do not need to construct a new space vehicle for every time we need to put people in orbit.

Space exploration is important for our survival. The Earth does not have limitless supply of food or energy; and overpopulation, pollution and other ills threaten our existence.
